Installation
Install from the Shopify App Store
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps. You can also search for the app in the Shopify App Store.
Search for 10x GEO or LLMs.txt Generator (you may also see it listed as 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO).
Click Install app.
When prompted, review and approve the requested permissions.
After installation, the app opens automatically and takes you to Onboarding to finish setup.
If you close the browser tab during install, you can reopen the app anytime from Shopify admin → Apps.
Permissions the app requests (and why)
10x GEO requests access only to power the features described in these docs:
Products and collections — to generate and maintain your LLMs.txt using your catalog and key landing pages.
Blogs and articles — to publish AI-assisted content created in Content Sonic and organized in Content Plan.
Storefront files — to create or update the
.well-known/llms.txtfile on your storefront.Shop and theme — to read store details and support optional on-site experiences like the Widget.
You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the app from Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels.
After installation
Once the app opens, complete Onboarding to get your core setup in place:
Generate and publish your first LLMs.txt
Set up Prompt Watch (visibility tracking) to monitor where your brand appears in AI answers
(Optional) Start creating content with Content Sonic and organizing it in Content Plan
Your onboarding progress is saved. If you leave the app, you can return via Shopify admin → Apps → 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO.
Troubleshooting
Confirm you’re logged into the correct Shopify store and have permission to install apps.
Disable strict pop-up blockers for Shopify (some browsers/extensions can block the install redirect).
Try an incognito/private window to rule out extension issues.
Re-run the installation and ensure you approve all requested permissions. You can review installed apps under Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels.
In Shopify admin, go to Apps and look for 10x GEO. Depending on the listing, it may appear as 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO.
