Content Sonic & Content Plan

Overview: plan first, write second

Content Plan and Content Sonic work together inside 10x GEO to help you publish content that matches shopper intent and performs in AI-powered search experiences.

  • Content Plan helps you decide what to publish next with a structured, prioritized plan.

  • Content Sonic helps you turn an idea into a draft you can edit and publish to your Shopify blog (when enabled).

Before you start

For the best outputs, make sure your store context is complete. In 10x GEO, go to Onboarding and confirm your Business profile is filled in (store description, industry/product types, target locations, and positioning).

Keeping your Business profile accurate improves the relevance of content ideas in Content Plan and the drafts generated by Content Sonic.

Content Plan: create a 90-day strategy

Content Plan creates a 90-day content strategy tailored to your store so you can prioritize the work that’s most likely to help.

What you get in Content Plan

  • Topic ideas tailored to your products and niche

  • Target keywords and recommended content types (for example: guides, listicles, comparisons)

  • Priority and expected impact so you know what to do first

  • Effort estimates to help you plan time and resources

Typical workflow

In Shopify admin, go to Apps → 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO, then open Content Plan.

Scan the list for items marked as higher priority and higher expected impact. These are usually your best starting points.

Select a small batch of high-priority ideas to work on first so you can publish consistently and measure results sooner.

Content Plan is meant to help you decide what to write before you open the editor.

Content Sonic: generate and publish articles

Content Sonic generates full article drafts from Content Plan ideas (or your own custom topics). Drafts are designed to be useful for readers and easier for AI systems to understand and cite.

What you can do in Content Sonic

  • Choose a topic from Content Plan or enter a custom idea

  • Select a content type (for example: article, blog post, listicle, product comparison)

  • Generate a draft, then edit in the app

  • Publish directly to your Shopify blog (when enabled)

Generate a draft from a plan item

In Shopify admin → Apps → 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO, open Content Sonic.

Pick a topic from your Content Plan so the draft aligns with your 90-day strategy and priorities.

Select the format that fits the search intent (for example, a guide for “how to” questions or a comparison for decision-stage shoppers).

Generate the draft, then review and edit it for accuracy (product details, shipping/returns, compliance claims, and brand voice) before publishing.

When your store has blog publishing enabled, publish the final version to your Shopify blog.

Always review AI-generated drafts before publishing—especially product claims, pricing, ingredients/materials, and any regulated statements.

Tips for better results

  • Start small: publish 2–3 high-priority items from Content Plan first.

  • Use specific briefs: include details like audience, use case, and what to cover (for example: “Getting started guide for [product] with step-by-step setup and common mistakes”).

  • Match content type to intent: comparisons for “best vs” decisions, guides for “how to”, and listicles for browsing.

Measure impact with Analytics

After you publish, use Analytics (when available on your plan) to track whether your new posts are contributing to AI-driven traffic and which pages visitors land on.

In the app’s First Step guidance, Analytics is described as the place to understand which AI platforms send traffic and which pages visitors land on. Use this to decide what to optimize next.

If generation fails or looks off

Go back to Onboarding and review your Business profile. Missing or outdated context can lead to off-topic ideas or drafts.

If the output doesn’t reflect your products or collections, confirm the app has access to the store data it needs. (See the Installation page’s “Permissions the app requests (and why)” section for what’s used.)

Use a more specific title and select a content type that matches the question you want to answer (guide vs. listicle vs. comparison).

Billing and usage limits

Plan features and limits can vary. For subscriptions, trials, and plan limits, see Billing & Plans in the docs.

Finish Onboarding and confirm your store setup before generating content.
