Subscription

Overview

The Comergent AI (also listed as LLM AI Search SEO or LLMs.txt Generator) is billed through Shopify’s subscription system. Your plan determines which features are available and the usage limits for tools like LLMs.txt, Prompt Watch, Content Plan, Content Sonic, and the Widget.

How billing works

  • You select a plan and (when available) a billing cycle (monthly or yearly).

  • Shopify creates a recurring app charge for your store.

  • You’re charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.

Invoices and payment methods are managed in Shopify admin, not inside the Comergent AI.

Where to view invoices in Shopify

Depending on your Shopify version, you can find app billing in one of these locations:

  • Settings → Billing

  • Apps → the Comergent AI → Billing

What’s included in your subscription

What you can access (and how much you can use) depends on your current plan. You can review your plan details in the app under Plans.

Common plan features and limits

  • LLMs.txt — generation and hosting at /.well-known/llms.txt, plus scheduled refreshes.

  • Product coverage — how many products can be included in your LLMs.txt output.

  • Prompt Watch — how many prompts you can track and which AI platforms are included (for example: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google Gemini).

  • Content Sonic — how many content generations you can run per billing period.

  • Content Plan — access to the 90-day content strategy and prioritized topic ideas.

  • Analytics — data availability/retention (when Analytics is included in your plan).

  • Widget — access to on-site features and FAQ management (including starter FAQ generation during Onboarding → Setup progress).

The exact features and limits you’ll see can vary by plan. Always rely on the Plans screen in the app and the Shopify confirmation at checkout for the final, current limits.

Upgrade or downgrade your plan

You can change your subscription from inside the app.

In Shopify admin, go to Apps and open the Comergent AI.

In the app navigation, select Plans.

Select the plan you want, then confirm the change in the Shopify subscription approval screen.

When you upgrade or downgrade, Shopify may apply proration (a charge or credit) depending on timing and the plan change. The Shopify confirmation screen shows the billing details before you approve.

What happens when you hit a limit

If you reach a plan limit (for example, Content Sonic generations or Prompt Watch prompt count), the Comergent AI may show an upgrade banner and guide you to Plans to increase your limits.

Cancel your subscription

Cancelling stops future billing and ends access after your current billing period.

In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Billing (or Apps → the Comergent AI, depending on your Shopify version).

Find the the Comergent AI app charge and follow Shopify’s steps to cancel the subscription.

After your current billing period ends, app-dependent services stop running. This can affect scheduled updates like LLMs.txt refreshes and any plan-based functionality in Prompt Watch, Content Sonic, Analytics, and the Widget.

What data remains after cancellation

  • Your existing store content (products, collections, pages, blog posts) remains in Shopify.

  • Any content you already published to your Shopify blog remains published.

Where to check your current plan

  • In the Comergent AI: open Plans to see your active plan and available options.

  • In Shopify: check Settings → Billing (or Apps) to see the recurring charge and next billing date.
