Trials

Some 10x GEO plans (10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO) may include a free trial so you can try paid features before Shopify starts billing.

How trials work

  • When you choose a plan during Onboarding → Plan selection (or from Plans), Shopify may show a trial period on the subscription approval screen.

  • During the trial, you get access to the features included in that plan (for example: LLMs.txt, Prompt Watch, Content Plan, Content Sonic, and Widget features that are part of your plan).

  • You’re not charged until the trial ends. After that, Shopify begins the recurring app charge for the billing cycle you approved (monthly or yearly, when available).

  • If you cancel before the trial ends, Shopify won’t charge you for the first billing period.

Trials and billing are handled through Shopify’s subscription system. The Shopify approval screen is the source of truth for the exact trial length, start date, and when billing begins.

Where to see whether a plan has a trial

Trial availability can change depending on the current offer. To check what’s available for your store:

In Shopify admin, go to Apps and open 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO.

If you’re still setting up, go to Onboarding and open Plan selection. Plans that include a trial will indicate it in the plan choice and/or on the Shopify approval screen.

In the app navigation, select Plans to review your current plan and available upgrades/downgrades. Trial details (when offered) appear as part of the change flow and the Shopify approval screen.

Plan names can vary over time (for example, you may see options like Basic, Lite, and Pro). Always rely on the Plans screen and the Shopify confirmation screen for current options and terms.

What happens during the trial

  • Use the app normally: complete Onboarding → Setup progress, confirm your LLMs.txt is live at /.well-known/llms.txt, and start tracking visibility in Prompt Watch.

  • If you reach a plan limit (for example, prompt count or Content Sonic generations), you’ll see the same limit messages and upgrade prompts as paying customers, and you’ll be guided to Plans.

If you upgrade or downgrade during a trial, Shopify may change when you’re billed and/or apply proration depending on the plan change. Review the Shopify subscription approval screen carefully before you approve any change.

What happens after the trial ends

  • Your subscription starts and Shopify charges you for the first billing period of the plan you approved.

  • Billing continues automatically each period until you cancel.

Cancel before the trial ends

To avoid being charged, cancel your app subscription before the trial end date.

In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Billing (or, depending on your Shopify version, Apps → 10xGEO: llms.txt AISEO AEO GEO → Billing).

Find the 10x GEO recurring app charge and follow Shopify’s steps to cancel.
